Referring to the Circular issued by the General Directorate of Lebanese General Security, the Consulate General of Lebanon in Dubai has permanently stopped receiving applications for new passports of the electronic type 2003 (the old navy-blue type) as of 1/6/2023.

Therefore, citizens who hold an electronic passport and  have not previously obtained a biometric passport must apply for a biometric passport from the General Directorate of General Security in Lebanon.

Only children under the age of sixteen (16) and those over the age of sixty (60) are exempted from this procedure, as they can apply for a biometric passport for the first time at this consulate.

Biometric passport validity and fees:

• Five years: for minors only (under 18); Fees 1105 AED in cash)
• Ten years: for adults only (above 18); Fees 2210 AED in cash)
